Our interpretation of a tennis shoe is a multi-purpose shoe that offers more durability than a cross-trainer, with support and cushioning. It should also offer side-to-side stability vs a runner which basically front-to-back .Ideal for tennis, the gym or just daily wear. Most of the tennis shoes are stiffer in the forfoot than a jogger, so we seldom recommend them for actual jogging.
