Our interpretation of a walking shoe vs a running shoe is usually a broader base and better side-to-side stability. However, many are very satisfied with a jogger for walking re usually more cushioning when sports are not an issue. Also, do not rule out the cross-trainer category for walking, as the sales in this category in our store actually even with the walking category for general purpose wear. A special note to customers with bunion issues or just have probelms with the front (forefoot) of their foot: buying a stiffer shoe that has less flex in the front half of the shoe usually helps stop the joints from moving or bending as much as a flexible shoe, and remove a lot of pressure/pain from that area. When in doubt, consult your local footcare professional.
